Frequently Asked Questions

To help you understand more details about the Aspen RxHealth Community we have prepared a list of frequently asked questions that can help you understand how to get started.

  1. How do I join the Aspen RxHealth Community?

You start the onboarding process at https://community.aspenrxhealth.com. This will include claiming your profile from Pharmacy Profiles (www.pharmacyprofiles.com), completing training, going through a credentialing process and setting up a payment account.

  2. Why can't I get into the Aspen RxHealth Community?

At Aspen RxHealth, we match pharmacists by state licensure, clinical credentials, geography and other criteria. We sign up pharmacists in the areas of need and grow the community as we have opportunities. If we do not have opportunities in the areas where you are licensed, you will not be able to go through the complete sign-up process. We will keep your name on file and contact you when we do have opportunities in your area.

  3. Is there a fee to join the Aspen RxHealth Community?

There is a one-time $75 credentialing fee to join the Aspen RxHealth Community. Credentialing is a primary source verification process. These processes ensure that there are no license restrictions or revocations; certifications are current; mandatory courses, certificates, and continuing education are complete; training and orientation are satisfactory; and any disciplinary action, malpractice claims, or history of impairment is reported.

  4. Why is there a fee to join the Aspen RxHealth Community?

Aspen RxHealth has set a small credentialing fee which is not uncommon for healthcare providers, but more importantly, we want pharmacists who have some "skin in the game" to join us and show they have at least a basic level of commitment to joining. Once a pharmacist is fully on-boarded, which can be done in just a few days, they can earn their money back by completing just two CMRs.

  5. What other fees are involved in being a member of the Aspen RxHealth Community?

There are no additional fees once you are registered as a part of the community.

  6. How much can I expect to earn working for Aspen RxHealth?

How much you make is dependent on how much you work and how successful you are at delivering services. Just like other gig economy solutions (e.g. Uber and Lyft drivers), the more you work, and in this case, are able to successfully contact patients and deliver services, the more you can make. Initial pharmacists have been quite successful on an "average per hour" rate compared to typical pharmacist wages.

  7. How do I get paid?

Once you sign up and set up an account, you are paid weekly for the services you deliver. Payments are received into your account each Friday for services completed the previous week.

  8. If I am working for a pharmacy, can I still deliver pharmacist services for Aspen RxHealth?

Any pharmacist can be a part of the Aspen RxHealth Community. Pharmacists with an employee relationship should ensure they are working within the parameters of their agreement with their employer. We encourage pharmacist to work as "providers" and build upon the opportunities that can be delivered locally and enhance the patient experience with the pharmacist and pharmacy. This can be enhanced through pharmacists establishing working agreements to deliver Aspen RxHealth services in coordination with their pharmacy employer.

  9. Do I need to be working for a pharmacy to deliver services for Aspen RxHealth?

No, opportunities are matched to pharmacists based on a matching formula that includes many factors. As our website states, we do not think of pharmacy practice in terms of the number of corner drug stores or centralized call centers. We simply think of pharmacists—anywhere at any time working as a community serving those in need.

  10. What types of services will I deliver with Aspen RxHealth?

Aspen RxHealth offers all types of pharmacist clinical services. Once signed up, you will see opportunities matched to you that you can grab and deliver. Pharmacists are only responsible for delivering the services on the call. Aspen RxHealth handles all of the communications with patients and prescribers outside of the calls.

  11. Where can I deliver services?

We do not define the workspace that you deliver from. We expect all HIPAA privacy rules to be followed and all services are recorded and monitored for quality. Quality scores will impact future matching opportunities, so if you want to deliver with the best quality, we recommend you deliver someplace that has privacy and little background noise.

  12. What are the hours of operations that I can expect to be able to call patients?

Pharmacists are able to call patients 8am-8pm, Sunday through Saturday, seven days a week. The App is programmed to prevent calls outside of those hours.

  13. Can I leave my personal phone number for a patient to contact me back?

No, Aspen RxHealth uses an outside company to direct dial all phone numbers. If a patient needs to call back, please give the patient our phone number: 1-866-ASPENRX.

  14. What applications are provided by Aspen RxHealth?

Aspen RxHealth provides three applications to support our pharmacists.

The Pharmacist Portal, available at community.aspenrxhealth.com, supports pharmacists in onboarding to our platform, provides access to required and optional training, and includes tools to manage profile information.

Pharmacists must use an application to call patients and complete consultations. Previously pharmacists were only able to use the Aspen RxHealth iOS app available from the Apple Store on a supported device. However, pharmacists now can use a browser-based app called BeWell available at bewell.aspenrxhealth.com on a device that supports the last two versions of the browsers listed below.

Finally, The Grove available at grove.aspenrxhealth.com provides access to a comprehensive library of documentation, tools to track consult completions, calls, and current ARC tier status, as well as the latest schedules and links to community meetings.

Users may use the same credentials to access the Pharmacist Portal, the Aspen RxHealth iOS app, BeWell, and The Grove.

  15. What internet browsers are supported by Aspen RxHealth?

The Pharmacist Portal, The Grove, and the BeWell web app support the last two versions of:

    • Microsoft Edge
    • Chrome
    • Safari
  16. What devices are compatible with Aspen RxHealth's applications?

    Aspen RxHealth iOS application

The Aspen RxHealth iOS application is compatible with iOS 15 and above operating systems on the following devices:

    • iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 (all models)
    • iPad (7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th generation)
    • iPad Air (3rd, 4th, and 5th generation)
    • iPad mini (5th and 6th generation)
    • iPad Pro 11" (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation)
    • iPad Pro 12.9" (3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th generation)

The iOS application is not supported by the latest iPhone 16 models & Android devices.

Aspen RxHealth Portal and The Grove

The Pharmacist Portal available at community.aspenrxhealth.com and The Grove available at grove.aspenrxhealth.com each support phone, tablet and laptop devices that support the internet browsers listed above.

    Aspen RxHealth BeWell web application

The web application, BeWell, available at bewell.aspenrxhealth.com is supported by tablets in landscape orientation (including devices that run Apple OS or Android) and laptop computers that support the internet browsers listed above.

Make sure that you always update your browser to the latest version. Use internet searches to find the latest version of specific browsers, what OS they require, and what devices support the OS and browser.

Older Apple MacBooks may have memory limitations and might not be able to update to the latest macOS, which in turn may prevent it from supporting the latest two versions of the Safari browser. In this situation, the Chrome browser may work best if the iOS can support the last 2 versions of Chrome.

Portrait orientation on a tablet or opening the application on a phone is not optimized at this time and may result in additional scrolling or some features being cut off. Support for these devices is planned for later this year.
